We've eaten here multiple times in the past few months and it's been excellent-- Very fresh, wonderful service and adorable decor. I especially love the tea cups. The portions are very generous and the prices are fantastic. Zeng Sushi Delight has become one of our favorite restaurants in San Leandro. Can't wait to go again soon.
We always have a good time here and excellent food. I sometimes wonder how they can keep the quality while there is never a lot of business going on. But I think we are just eating there mainly during off-times. Clean and pretty interior, no clutter, well-lit. The staff is always friendly and my kid gets the kid treatment with special cutlery etc. Love their hand rolls, bento box and noodle soups! The environment in the strip mall is a bit dreary though...
I come here all the time and get the Victoria secret roll and E14 roll. The avocado mango salad is good too. Fresh and quality ingredients with a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
Love their lunch bentos. Taste good and good amount of food for the price! Service was good.
Our happy place. Great food and not too pricey. The staff is helpful and the place is clean and inviting.
Very clean environment and the staff was very cordial and pleasant as well as being helpful. The food is of good quality sashimi.
Zeng Sushi Delight is located off to the side in the San Leandro Plaza. This is a very busy plaza on weekends and weeknights, so parking is hit or miss - you just have to park further away either by the Safeway or McDonald's area and walk over. I feel like the only friendly employee / server here is the older gentleman, who I always see working. Since I have last been inside, they had done a lot of remodeling and it looks pretty aesthetically pleasing inside. I have not been here in ages, but I was craving sushi, as I was next door getting boba, so I decided to make a to go order here out of convenience. I ordered the California & Salmon Hand Rolls, Sake Maki, and Sake Nigiri, which was about $30 and I think it was worth it, as the sushi was actually better than I remembered it to be. To be honest, I did not have high hopes for their food because of my previous experiences, so I was rather surprised that my sushi tasted better than before - the salmon was fresh as well, so I felt like it was only fair to change my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars.
This place is a gem! First of all, the interior is super cute. Next, the menu is the best menu I've ever seen. I love how the menu has huge pictures cause I love to see pictures of my food before I order. The food is really good. The snow dragon roll is the most unique roll I've had in a while. The sauce has honey mustard, which sounds weird, but it's so delicious. My new favorite roll! I also got the Raider roll, gyoza, baked mussels, and lion king. The owner came by to say hi and asked if everything was okay and our waiter was very attentive. Good service and great food! Highly recommend!
I can't emphasize enough that there are still lunch prices under $20 work Msicu generous portions! I usually dine around South Bay cause that where I live and work. It's really hard to find anything decent for less $20 for lunch nowadays post pandemic, especially Japanese cuisine. I've ordered their unagi don a few times. Each time, portions are very generous. Sometimes they cut the unagi into two pieces, sometime comes in one piece, perhaps depends on the chefs mood? I always pay extra for more broccoli because I like my veggies! I have to mentioned that they have have very good price for ramen. A Tonkatsu ramen bowl is only $13. It comes with a large piece of Tonkatsu on the side, which is nicely battered and deep fried perfectly each time I ordered them. But I didn't order them today. I've had not had their Bento boxes lately so I can't comment on that other than good price. I'm supposed that this place offers lunch menu items daily including weekend and holidays! I like how they changed the decorations inside. It very nice feel. As for service, I won't comment too much other than it's a one man kind of show for take out, dine in and taking takeout orders, plus answering the phone Service is not really what I concentrate on when I dine in an ordinary diner. But if l am dining at an upscale place, and I'm paying that kind of , I expect service to be at a certain level. I'm summary, I come here because of good food and their great prices. To me, it's a good deal for what I paid and what I get.
Revisited here after covid reopening and was pleasantly surprised! They redid the decor inside and it's pleasantly surprising! They have this new lunch combo menu that's a great combo of either two sushi related items or two non-sushi items, for a reasonable price. My husband and parents came here for Mothers Day and the total Bill was $75 total, not too bad. Actually had a more positive experience here than before covid! 10/10 would return
